The Manufacturing/NPI Lead role will provide Subject Matter Expertise in in all aspects of manufacturing and assembly techniques pertaining to the production of coffee machines, along with expertise and proven experience in Design for Manufacture, industrialisation and contract manufacturing. Experience of working with a contract manufacture is essential.

What you’ll do
Being a Manufacturing/NPI Lead is about so much more than bringing our coffee to the world. It’s your chance to stir up real success - which means you’ll be:
- Deliver Subject Matter Expertise and authoritative decision making in all aspects of manufacturing and assembly techniques pertaining to the production of coffee machines and associated peripheral equipment.
- Deliver expertise based on proven experience in Design for Manufacture, industrialisation and contract manufacturing with a third party.
- Lead the transition of a complex electromechanical assembly from a third-party design integrator into volume manufacture, through the DfM stages, through the early stages of on-boarding of the contract manufacturer, and acting as the lead on all aspects of the production ramp-up.
- Interface with the internal procurement team to ensure readiness of materials, scheduling of production volumes based on manufacturing capacity and lean principles, efficiencies in sourcing, optimised production and assembly techniques to drive efficiencies in manufacture, pro-actively identify ways to optimise the BoM cost and ex-works cost.
- Lead and enforce robust change control once the product is in manufacture. Manage the changes through the BoM and through the Costa-owned data management tool (Windchill) to ensure it remains current and all parties are working to the latest approved standard.
