BGR - Test Engineer

Exciting opportunity for a Talented Test Engineer to join into our expanding Digital Consumer team based in Sofia.  Must have experience of Android, iOS, Web, APIs/commerce. Quality & automation: TDD, Unit Testing, Selenium, Cucumber, JMeter, Soap UI, Postman.

A bit about the role... 

Reporting into the Digital Consumer team leadership you’ll be working on a product that is a part of day to day life for millions of people, and what you do will define how those customers interact with the company on a daily basis. You'll work within a team of backend developers, alongside mobile engineers, product designers and managers, QA testers, data scientists and business analysts. You and your team(s) will be responsible for delivering the roadmap set out for the Digital area as well as continuously improving the current applications.

As a Test Engineer in the Digital Consumer team you’ll own and contribute to a number of key areas on a weekly basis:

• Delivery of quality products using industry standard automation and test practices in partnership with the entire delivery team 
• Participate in planning, design, and architecture sessions covering product and technical designs and architecture and implementations within the team and with external stakeholders.

• Participate fully in Agile development processes including communicating and voicing ideas, questions, and concerns openly with the team. 

• Continuously improve on testing and test automation craft by taking time to understand feedback, research and apply new approaches and learnings from others.
• Analyse and optimises testing code for quality, efficiency, and performance.

• Collaboration with all team members on the agile squad to deliver technology products in an iterative fashion.

As part of the Costa team you will be contributing to a number of different projects including:

• Improving the automation of our testing capabilities
• Globalisation of our technical stack – making our main technology stack scalable for the global markets we want to target.
• Personalisation – we want to use new technologies to really personalise Costa to our consumers and make their experiences the best they can be.
• Loyalty app and site improvements – we are continuously trying to improve out loyalty apps and websites to provide the best consumer experience possible.

• Experience working on an agile team delivering web, api, commerce, and/or app digital capabilities.
• Previous experience building and maintain test automation code covering a web, mobile app, or API product..
• Experience authoring and maintaining test documentation (test cases and test suites) and able to plan test cycles for sanity, regression, and incremental release activities.
• Experiencing authoring and running performance tests.
• Test automation frameworks like XCUI, Espresso, Cypress 
• Web services, Restful APIs 
• Able to automate test functionality within area of team delivery: Android, iOS, Web, APIs/commerce.
• Quality & automation: TDD, Unit Testing, Selenium, Cucumber, JMeter, Soap UI, Postman, etc. 
• Able to build and maintain functional automation tests in area of expertise: Espress, XCUI, CypressIO – knowledge of coding language (Java, Swift, Javascript) and test authoring frameworks like Cucumber. 
• Able to use Postman to test endpoints and chain requests using parameters and other linking techniques to cover multi-API scenarios. 
• Understanding of rest APIs and GraphQL – able to manually test and build automation coverage.
• Able to test and build test cases covering a wide range of modern digital devices (mobile, tablet, desktop, and laptops), languages (including Japanese, English, and other), and non-functional security, accessibility, and performance standards.

Location / Travel:   The role will be hybrid model with the expectation of being in the Sofia office 2-3 days per week as required. Some international travel may also be required on up to a quarterly basis e.g. to the UK to participate in face to face planning meetings with our central digital teams and stakeholders.
