Talented Technical Manager required to join our fast-paced, friendly team in leading a small team of Developers working on projects in our B2B Technology team.  This is a newly formed role and will suit a highly experienced Leader with proven experience in Cloud (Azure)  IOT telemetry systems and customer facing mobile apps.

A bit about the role... 

Working in the B2B Technology team, as a Technical Manager you will be working on Costa’s cloud systems managing a team of developers and developer-in-test to develop products for our B2B customers. The projects range from IOT telemetry systems to business-to-business web portals and customer-facing mobile apps, all with the aim of making it easy to do business with Costa. Collaborating with architects and developers based in both UK & Sofia, this role is critical in the Agile software development lifecycle to enable fast speed of change.

The role will:

  • Lead a team of developers and developer in test in delivery quality software solutions, mentoring the team throughout every stage of software delivery process
  • Manage the development testing through robust processes, with the team creating high quality, testable code and test cases/ coverage
  • Work with the QA manager and Software Engineering Lead to direct the team and improve ways of working
  • Use their broad experience and analytical skills to drive the development of technical solutions to business needs, considers trade-offs of different possible approaches and understands impact of their decisions on the rest of the business.
  • Communicate technical ideas clearly and takes ownership and accountability of refining and improving software engineering standards, processes and practices used by the team.

  • Strong knowledge of C# and the.NET ecosystem and experience in Web / Frontend development - HTML, CSS, Javascript (SPA frameworks).
  • Proven Expertise in Azure Development - Function App, API’s deployed as Web App, Webhooks, Swagger, KeyVault, Service Bus(Queues, Topics).
  • A mind set that focuses on driving results with pace and striving for highest quality in everything they do.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with users / project teams and explain complex details in simple terms.
  • Interested in continual learning of technical knowledge through approaches such as Proof of Concepts.
  • Strong team working skills inspiring trust.
  • Track record of planning, estimating, and delivering work as part of a strong Agile team.
  • Experience in leading a development team.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of test automation tools, and frameworks.
  • Experienced in setting up and running CI/CD pipelines for development and testing.

Location...

The role will be hybrid model with the expectation of being in the Sofia office 2-3 days per week as required. Some international travel may also be required on up to a quarterly basis e.g. to the UK to participate in face-to-face planning meetings with our central teams and stakeholders.
