A bit about the role... 

Reporting into the Agile Delivery Manager for Data Platforms, this role is responsible for leading the development of .NET-based applications and integrations across a number of areas of Costa’s technology estate. You’ll be responsible for ensuring high quality of build and delivery across .NET APIs, Azure Function Apps and similar:

• Engaging with Delivery Managers, Product Owners and Business Analysts to understand the expected behaviours of functionality, and to develop to these requirements as appropriate – including automated testing as required
• Work closely with any testing team to ensure timely resolution of any issues discovered
• Where appropriate, proactively suggest ways to leverage the platform technology to provide a higher-quality product
• Understand and own the application lifecycle management so that delivery is consistent and optimised at all points
• Owning .NET style guides and standards within the Enterprise Services organisation structure and ensuring best practices are applied.

• Deep knowledge and experience of building C# .NET applications (.NET 7 currently)
• Experience delivering high-performance .NET applications into a cloud-based environment such as Azure (App Services, Function Apps)
• Demonstrable experience in ensuring consistent CI/CD-style application lifecycle management for .NET applications
• Experience with API builds – REST / GraphQL
• Experience writing and maintaining automated tests using xUnit / similar
• Experience working in an Agile delivery model, in a fast-paced environment
